Have a viable and unique business idea that you need help getting off the ground? Have a passion or talent that you want to turn into a business but don’t know how? Entrepreneurship can bring great fulfillment and who better to employ you than yourself?
Empowered Women International channels the entrepreneurial drive and creative talents of immigrant, refugee, and low-income women who are serious about becoming self sufficient and business-minded.
The Entrepreneur Training for Success (ETS) program is a rigorous three-month business start-up training program that nurtures and nourishes women’s talents as they develop their own micro businesses, through entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and business support services.
With individualized support from mentors and experts coupled with ample opportunities for personal development, women in the program can expect strong support systems, life-long friendships, and positive reinforcement.
Enrollment is ongoing. We’re currently recruiting women students for the spring semester of the Entrepreneur Training for Success. Classes are held in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland starting in early April. Scholarships are also available for qualified low-income applicants.
