Ways to Volunteer and Help EWI Empower More Women
• Serve as a career mentor
• Host a jewelry and gift party at your home or company
• Include EWI in an alternative giving market
• Host a dinner to benefit EWI
• Invite us to sell art at a women’s conference, Holiday Bazaar or Special Event
• Serve in our Advisory Board in Northern Virginia or Montgomery County
• Introduce EWI to a Foundation or an Angel in Your Community

Women Career Mentors
We have an immediate opening for a seasoned professional woman to volunteer as a career mentor with EWI. The commitment is 2-4 hours a week working one-on-one with a young woman from Togo to help her secure a job and independence.
The mentor will directly help our beneficiary identify entry level jobs in Rockville, MD area and mentor her to build confidence and career building skills.
The ideal candidate will work and/or live in Rockville or be available to travel to Rockville, MD, have experience working in human resources, have exceptional job hunting and interviewing skills, have time to give and lots of patience.

Teach a Class!
We are looking for jewelry making teachers to give 2-4 hours of training a week in our Alexandria office for small women’s groups.

Special Events Volunteers
We need talented and passionate women leaders to help us promote and sell EWI’s jewelry and art collection made by immigrant and refugee women at special events. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, networking and marketing skills.
Host a Party at Home or at your Office to benefit EWI and our economic empowerment and self-sufficiency programs for women. Hosting an EWI jewelry and art party it’s a lot of fun.
All artworks are unique and handcrafted locally, many created with recycled beads, textile and paper. Each piece has a story and carries a powerful message; it helps someone in need and empowers a woman to pursue her American dream. Send Marga a note if you can host a 2 hour party at home or at your office during lunch time. We are available to present and sell our work to women’s luncheons, business gatherings and conferences, churches, and other communities.
