Three Reasons to Support EWI

  1. EWI is a unique organization and the only one of its kind in the region. We combine issues concerning immigrants and refugees, women’s empowerment, the arts, and community development to assist newcomers to this country in becoming engaged, active, and self-sufficient citizens.
  2. We are a small non-profit, which means that you will be able to see firsthand the impact of your involvement on our organization.
  3. There is no invisible wall between you and our beneficiaries, as you will meet and work alongside our artist members.

Host a Home Jewelry Party, Gifts Boutique or Henna Art Party!

Invite a few friends over your house and introduce them to the unique handmade art gifts and stories of women artists of the EWI. Your friends will love shopping gorgeous jewelry and special art pieces created to make a difference.

Any month or season is appropriate for a home party. Holidays, birthday parties, happy hours, Mother’s Day or any other special occasion could be celebrated by inviting EWI to showcase its amazing artworks, tell its story and sell unique gifts.

Host an EWI Artists’ Market at Your Work

Introduce your co-workers and employees to EWI by giving them the opportunity to SHOP at work! Invite us to your office to showcase and sell unique art and gift items created by our immigrant and refugee member artists. We can set-up an artists’ market for your work during lunch or at another designated time. Markets include a variety of art gifts, including jewelry, note cards, silk scarves and other unique wearable art.

These events are great for corporate anniversaries, holidays, special events, etc., and a wonderful way for your company and employees to participate in philanthropy and community-giving.

Volunteer Program

EWI works with a large community of volunteers from all backgrounds and we are constantly recruiting new people to add to the team. Read more about volunteering here.

Employee Matching Gifts

Matching gifts programs empower employees to directly give to charities committed to furthering people’s lives. The matching programs boost morale and create a stronger relationship between the corporation and its employees. If you have an employee matching program, please consider making EWI one of the supported charities.

   Entrepreneurship Speakers

We are always looking for new, dynamic, expert speakers to speak at our Entrepreneur Training for Success classes. If you are interested, please checkout our program syllabus and  let us know why you should be an EWI speaker by filling out our application.
