Mame was encouraged by her mother Diana, to start drawing at a young age. Mame works mainly in pen and ink and derives her themes from mystical, fantasy worlds. Mame is also passionate about music, she composes, sings and produces her own music. View her inspired pieces here. Her mother Diana is also an artist who works with fiber/textiles and designing jewelry. This talented mother-daughter duo will have various creations for sale at the marketplace including art prints, quilts, and scarves.
Sarah is an entrepreneur and artist who is inspired by nature. Sarah mounts and frames real butterflies, which she purchases from various buttery sanctuaries. She also creates unique jewelry out of their beautiful wings and takes photography of their natural existence in the wild. Her ultimate goal is to preserve nature’s greatest masterpiece through art while increasing awareness of the harm afflicted by humans on this species. Born in Calcutta, India Jameela transformed her journey and travels into a compelling book entitled On Clipped Wings. She also creates beautiful handmade crafts utilizing various mediums and techniques. Alison Sigethy is a sculptural glass artist at the Torpedo Factory Arts Center in Alexandria, Virginia. She makes environmentally themed and nature inspired sculptures out of salvaged materials.
