Women of Courage Gala on December 11, 4-7pm

Join us for a multicultural celebration of art, music and entrepreneurship on Saturday from 4-7pm at Convergence, 1801 N. Quaker Lane. The event is FREE but RSVPs are required.

Stop by the EWI Gift Shop Monday through Thursday, December 6-22 from noon-7pm to get all your holiday shopping done! Everything available is locally hand made by female artist members of EWI. Shopping with us this season allows you to not only go home happy with your new purchases, but also to invest in local women’s lives, jobs, and small businesses. Free gift wrapping is available and for every $10 you spend in the Gift Shop, your  name will be entered into a drawing to win a bag-full of goodies from EWI artists!

~ It’s a unique market, about a dozen area vendors will provide a fabulous shopping experience.

Reston Giving Circle of Hope: “Gifts That Give Hope” Alternative Market

Truro Church, 10520 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22031

Please come and select special gifts that give HOPE and HELP to those less fortunate! The event features over 20 participating nonprofits.

This year, the fair will be held in conjunction with Fairfax City’s Festival of Lights and Carols.  Both tangible and virtual gifts will be available to shoppers.  A number of fair trade gifts have been added that directly benefit needy populations and there are many brand new nonprofit organizations.  For each “virtual gift”, shoppers will receive a gift card with a description of the gift (donation) they selected in honor of a friend or relative.  All gifts give help and hope to others!

Great Fundraiser Evening at La Tasca Restaurant in Old Town on July 13

On Tuesday, July 13th, EWI supporters, members, staff, and volunteers gathered at La Tasca Spanish Tapas Restaurant and Bar in Old Town Alexandria for a wonderful happy hour and a great fundraiser dinner.

Thanks to those who enjoyed a delicious meal that evening, 15% of the proceeds were donated by the restaurant to our organization and we raised a total of $164.83!

We look forward to having another one of these fun events in the future and hope to see you all there. Thank you to La Tasca Restaurant and to everyone who came out to support EWI!


EWI Happy Hour and Fundraiser Dinner on July 13th at La Tasca

Join EWI supporters, clients, and volunteers on Tuesday, July 13th at La Tasca, Spanish Tapas Restaurant and Bar in Old Town Alexandria for a fun happy hour at 6pm and dinner fundraiser anytime throughout the evening! The restaurant will be donating 10-20% of the evening’s dinner proceeds to our organization. At dinner, please remember to tell your waiter that you are there to support EWI. Hope to see you all there!
