“We will meet in the lobby of the Freer Gallery, the exit Mall”

Join Empowered Women’s staff and artists on Tuesday, March 12, 10:15 AM at the Smithsonian’s Freer & Sackler Galleries of Art in Washington, DC for a guided tour through the Arts of China and the Peacock Room.

A docent will take us through the collection of Chinese art in the galleries, and will end at the Peacock Room – a dining room that was designed and worked on by multiple artists for a very rich patron in England. Freer later bought it from him and used it to display his collection of Chinese blue and white porcelain.

This event is offered as part of a series of arts enrichment opportunities for EWI artists and prospective members.

Got an idea of an arts community, museum or retail that might like to share their art educational and outreach program with our artists? Send an email to Sush Mazumdar, our artists’ enrichment coordinator at sushmaz@comcast.net
