Programs and Services
1. Career and Business Development Services
- Life and Career Counseling, Mentoring and Referrals – A comprehensive life and career assessment to identify areas where support is needed most and any critical risk factors affecting successful integration. Session includes career guidance, counseling, referrals, resources and action plan.
- Artist Entrepreneur – Training for Success – A 12-week intensive training “Boot Camp” to build entrepreneurial, marketing and business skills for immigrant women ready to market their art products and services.
- Business Coaching – Ongoing one-on-one coaching and mentoring sessions tailored to individual career needs and business challenges. Examples include: product pricing and placement, venue identification/access, marketing research, etc.
2. Culturally Diverse Visual and Performing Arts Presentations
Presentation of culturally diverse arts programs, exhibitions, performances, workshops, events and forums for featuring and promoting the arts and cultures of immigrant women. This program foster public awareness and appreciation for the unique contributions immigrant and refugee people make to life in the US and greater metropolitan Washington area.
Programs include: large-scale performing & visual art shows, local art market events, museum events and retail opportunities for artists.
3. Education and Outreach
Partnerships with communities in need, schools, youth and arts organizations allow our immigrant women artists to gain experience, visibility, mentor emerging artists, and teach art to younger people and audiences with limited access to arts. This program is mutually benefiting the community lacking access to the arts and talented immigrant women artists in need for market venues and affirmation.
Programs include art teaching & mentoring, art collaborations, workshops, volunteer programs and community service.
