Join us and celebrate precious junk that belongs to the person you want to make a valentine for – a broken watch, once-favorite earrings, or an old doll’s dress can once again be treasured in a new form! Just bring it in and we will supply the other materials and ideas you need to bring it alive.
About the Teaching Artist: Sushmita Mazumdar is an Indian-born and Arlington-based writer, designer, and book artist. She teaches art education programs for children and adults encouraging storytelling and the sharing of cultural heritage. Sushmita has conducted workshops at museums, schools, and art institutions, and sells her books at book fairs, art stores, shows, and on her website HandmadeStorybooks.com.
